You may ask why exactly these 25 areas, and how do we know. Well, let me introduce myself. My name is Matthew, and I’ve been working in recruitment and interview coaching since 2007. Companies like IBM, Siemens, O’Donnel Griffin or Orange Employment belonged to my clients. In 2011, I started InterviewPenguin.com , a website that has become one of the leading players in the flied of job interview and career advice, reaching peak traffic of 8 million visitors in 2022 alone.
In almost 20 years of my career in the field, I collected a lot of data. Not only while leading 500+ interviews and cooperating with companies from all over the globe. But also from Analytics and Search Console for InterviewPenguin.com, exact search queries people and companies were looking for while preparing for the job interviews, for an almost endless variety of jobs in a variety of fields. And since the dataset is big enough (8 millions visitors a year isn’t a small number), I was able to identify clear patterns, and come up with my methodology of 25 areas that encompass 99% of questions you may ever face, in any job interview.
